I am enjoying the stretch demanded by teaching in so many formats -- face-to-face, web blended, ITV, and on-line.  Over the summer I was one of 11 faculty members piloting the new Learning Management System on Moodle.  All but one of my classes are on Moodle for Fall 2012.  The new format makes available many new kinds of learning opportunities in the online environment.  Welcome to this new adventure!  As my grandson, the “budding” pirate, would say… “Arrghh!

In a former life, I taught 7th and 9th grade science for 14 years in Lee County, Arkansas.  My lovely wife Sue Ann taught Special Education at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, for 28 years before retiring in 2008.  We have two daughters, Sara and Jessi.  Sara and her son David live with us in Cape Girardeau, where Sara is an assistant manager at a local hotel.  Jessi recently moved back to Missouri (from Japan), with her husband Pat and daughter Anne Marie.  Both Jessi and Pat are starting college this fall.
